Added note... I was reading and thinking about NewYears Eve. Jim and I discuss "should we watch the ball drop." See here in CA we can watch it at 9:00. This year I said no. Just finishing up a huge cold I could tell my body was ready for sleep.
So this morning I am thinking about that ball and realized that is what most people do with their resolutions. I am sure you have made lists too, lists of thing you want to start doing or stop doing. Thing we want to change about ourselves. But as the days go by, those lists become a blur.
And I drop the ball, not a memory of those lists exists. Very little has changed even with all my good intentions. The ball keeps dropping in Times Square every year. And i drop the ball on those lists. Can you relate???
So try one word. One Word from God can change us forever. And that's the change I am looking for.
So my change this year? My Word this year? JOY
